History

For the workers in Century City, most use key municipal roads to travel to work, these include Bridge Street, Century Way, Century Boulevard, Boundary Road, Sable Road, Bosmansdam Road, and Ratanga Road.
The growth of Century City's commercial sector is owed to its close proximity to the Port of Cape Town and the Cape Town International Airport. It lies only 16 minutes away from the harbour, and 21 minutes from the airport.
Transport
Travelling to and from various places of work is made convenient owing to a number of public transport services around the suburb. Many employees use the Golden Arrow Bus Service which operates directly from Century City and runs through the CBD, Khayelitsha, Nyanga, Killarney, Elsies River, Hanover Park and Atlantis. Another popular transport option is the MyCiti bus, which has a terminal in Century City's Montague Gardens. Other options include travelling by taxis or train.

The businesses of Century City have access to state-of-the-art amenities. Top shopping malls in include Canal Walk Shopping Centre and Market Lane.
